It is used to take oxidation test of different metals and to calibrate their test.
This software is made to measure the effect of Temperature verses Time to different metals.
Feature of OIT.
Left panel of Software contains three windows such as Specification Window, OIT Instrument Window and Graph Control. |
| (1)
Specification Window |
- Click on Specification Window button to give new specification for new test.
|
|
|
 |
In specification form you need to do following things.
Select party in PartyID textbox using F1 key. Press F1 key on this text box and it will open party selection dialog to select party. You need to select party and press enter on help dialog. Party name and ID will be reflected to specification window.
 |
 |
Test ID will be auto fill. No need to give testID manually.
Enter Test name, material name and job number to perform test. Job number should be in numeric format.
Enter Date and time of test if you want to change. Otherwise it will be auto fill as per current date and time. |
|
| Thus, Using Specification Window, we can maintain all information about Test such as party name, Material name that is used to test, Material weight, Operator Name,
Testing Date, Testing Time, and Test Type etc… |
|
 |
This window contains list of comm port you can select any port from list and then click on Go button to connect with machine |
OIT Instrument Window contains current status of Test such as
- Current temperature
- Current delta temperature
- Current time,
- Current N2 (Nitrogen Time)
|
|
It is also contains START, STOP and TARE button to start, stop and tare the test |

Using this button we can also set the N2 time of test. |
(3) Graph Control Instrument Window |
|
it have feature as discussed as above and Graph control window of OIT contains extra feature such as Maximum Temperature, Minimum Temperature, Maximum Delta Temperature, Minimum delta Temperature, Maximum Time and Range of Temperature |

Using this software we can two type of Test
1 Oxidation test
2 Calibration Test
With Oxidation test we can measure the effect of Temperature verses Time to different metals by giving N2 and O2 |
|
- Oxidation Testing Window will contains following tools;
(a) Graph view
(b) Test Graph Control
(c) Test Specifications
(d) Result Window
(e) Graph Setting
|
 |
2. you can set scaling factor of Temperature and Time using accordingly x-factor and y-factor
You can see cursor’s current position in graph as in current position label. |
 |
3. To start new test
(a) Click on clear graph button if graph window is not cleared

(b) Click on stop button first if machine is in running phase.
(c) Click on Start button to initiate the test.

(d) It will display graph plotting according to current Temperature and current Time.
(e) You can get the online result in graph as well as in Instrument window as discussed at above
(f) When current time of the test reaches to N2 time then one line will be draw automatically (this is the O2 start time this you can see in result window)
(g) After Graph takes high you can stop the graph using stop button. After that you can draw tangent using following buttons

And you can find out O2 end time. And the difference of O2 start and O2 end time is OIT test time (O2start Time – O2End Time). |
4. After Tacking test, you have to save the graph using

5. After saving graph you can Print Graph using

6. by clicking print button you can see print preview of test |
 |
| Step for Calibration Test |
|
- Calibration Test Window will contain following tools;
(a) Graph view
(b) Test Graph Control
(c) Manual calibration Setting
(d) Test Specifications
(e) Graph Setting
|
 |
| 2. you can set scaling factor of Temperature and Time using accordingly x-factor and y-factor, you can also see cursor’s current position in graph as in current position label. |
 |

(f) After Graph takes high you can stop the graph using stop button. After that you can draw tangent and calibrate the test
using & following buttons

(g) by clicking the Auto Calibration button you find the following window

By filling malting value and then clicking go button machine and graph both are calibrate automatically
(h) you can calibrate test also manually by setting Delta dt span,Temprature 0,Temprature Span as shown following window

8. After Tacking test, you have to save the graph using

9. After saving graph you can Print Graph using

10. by clicking print button you can see print preview of test |
